Sensei Sennen Harry
 - Godan (5th Dan)

Instructor - Sensei Sennen Harry

Sennen first started karate training in 1981 at the Dunedin Dojo under the

instruction of Sensei Bob Cahill.

During 1986 and 1987 Sennen taught and trained at the University of Otago

Karate Club where more than 120 students regularly trained two nights a

week. During this time Sennen continued to train at the Dunedin Honbu Dojo

4 nights a week.

In 1987 Sennen moved to Auckland. During 1990's and early 2000's Sennen

took up other sports such as snow skiing, triathlons, scuba diving, weight

training, dragon boat racing and outrigger canoe racing (competing in the

Outrigger Canoe Nationals).

Sennen also competes in Sled dog racing running two and three dog teams. He

won the National Ski Jouring title in 1999, 2000 and 2001, racing on skis

with a single dog.

In 2003 Sennen resumed his karate training at the Pakuranga Dojo under

Sensei Dennis May and Sensei Della Proffit.

In June 2003 Sennen was graded to Sho Dan by Sensei Dennis May.

In June 2005 Sennen was graded to Ni Dan by Sensei Dennis May.

In 2006 he went to Okinawa to train with the Masters.

In September 2007 Sennen was graded to San Dan by Sensei Dennis May.

In November 2012 Sennen was graded to Yon Dan by Sensei Dennis May.

In April 2014 He was graded by Hanshi Nakamoto to Go Dan.

Sennen is the Head Instructor for the Pakuranga Dojo.

He son Kieran Harry is also a black belt and trains at the Pakuranga Dojo.
